The schedule for Asia Cup 2023 has been officially announced, with the date and venue confirmed. The highly anticipated match between India and Pakistan is set to take place on September 2.

The Asia Cup 2023 is set to take place in Pakistan and Sri Lanka from August 30 to September 17, 2023. This 50-over ODI tournament will feature matches at international standard venues. The tournament will have two groups, with two teams from each group advancing to the Super Four stage. The top two teams from the Super Four stage will compete in the final.

The 2023 Asia Cup will kick off in Multan with a match between Pakistan and Nepal. The six participating teams will be divided into two groups: Group A includes Pakistan, India, and Nepal, while Group B consists of Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Sri Lanka. All matches will be played in the fifty-overs format, and hosting responsibilities are shared between Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Pakistan will host four matches at two venues, while the rest of the games will be held in Sri Lanka.

Here’s the latest update on Asia Cup 2023:

The tournament will feature 13 matches in total, with Group A consisting of Pakistan, India, and Nepal, and Group B including Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan. The highly anticipated match between India and Pakistan is scheduled for September 2 in Kandy.

The Asia Cup returns to the One-Day International (ODI) format after a gap of five years and serves as a crucial warm-up event for the upcoming ODI World Cup in India, scheduled for October and November. In the 2018 edition, India, led by Rohit Sharma, emerged victorious, defeating Bangladesh in a thrilling final by three wickets.

In the previous edition held in mid-2022, Sri Lanka clinched the title by defeating Pakistan in the final, which took place in Dubai. The final for the 2023 Asia Cup is set to be held on September 17 at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
