Zomato’s CEO, Deepinder Goyal, took to Instagram to share his fitness journey, motivating users to adopt healthier lifestyles.

Deepinder Goyal, the founder and CEO of Zomato, recently shared his motivating fitness journey on Instagram. In his post, he opened up about how he began focusing on his health a few months before the COVID-19 pandemic, and how it led to him achieving his weight goals. He also included before and after pictures, highlighting the remarkable transformation in his body.

Deepinder Goyal, the CEO of Zomato, provided a glimpse into his personal fitness journey. He shared that in 2019, a few months prior to the pandemic, he began giving equal priority to his health as he did to his work. He maintained consistency without resorting to extreme measures. Goyal showcased the results of his weight loss journey from 2019 to 2023 through before and after pictures. The images illustrated his remarkable progress.

In addition to the pictures, Goyal shared two post-it notes from 2019 and 2023, revealing his weight, cholesterol levels, and body fat percentage. These notes highlighted the significant improvements he made over the four-year period, reducing his weight from 87 kg to 72 kg, along with notable reductions in cholesterol levels and body fat percentage.

Goyal went on to share a detailed blog detailing how he achieved his weight loss. He mentioned tracking his carb intake, adopting a healthy diet (ordered via Zomato since Indian home-cooked food is carb-dominant), and engaging in regular workouts. While he allowed himself cheat days on weekends with indulgent treats like cholle bhature, butter chicken, and gulab jamun, he emphasized his overall consistency in adopting healthier habits each week compared to his previous lifestyle.

Deepinder Goyal’s post on Instagram has garnered over 2,000 likes since July 31. Numerous users on the platform have expressed their thoughts on his fitness journey, with some even requesting more details about it.

One user commented, “I would love to see the journey in more depth. For instance, what kind of food do you typically choose when ordering out? It’s fantastic to witness your achievements, and hopefully, we can learn from your experience.”

Another user inquired, “Could you share information about your daily caloric intake and the number of calories you burn? Are there any specific foods you avoid? Please do share your food details.”
