According to the Drik Panchang, this year’s Janmashtami is unique due to the convergence of the Rohini Nakshatra and the Ashtami Tithi, both occurring during the night. The Ashtami Tithi will commence at 3:37 pm on September 6 and conclude at 4:14 pm on September 7, while the Rohini Nakshatra will initiate at 9:20 am on September 6 and wrap up at 10:25 am on September 7. Consequently, Janmashtami will be observed on both days. While Janmashtami falls on September 6, the festivities of Dahi Handi will transpire on September 7.

Krishna Janmashtami 2023 Auspicious Timings?

As per the Drik Panchang, the Nishita Puja window spans from 11:57 pm to 12:42 am on September 7. Consequently, the favorable period for Janmashtami worship commences at 11:57 pm. The observance of Laddu Gopal’s birth anniversary and worship will continue until midnight, specifically until 12:42 am. The Parana, or the time for breaking the fast, is set for 4:14 pm on September 7.
