Advance ticket bookings for Shah Rukh Khan’s movie “Jawan” commenced nationwide on Friday, and within a short span, the film has raked in a staggering ₹4 crore in ticket sales for its opening day.

Shah Rukh Khan’s “Jawan” seems to be following the path of “Pathaan.” Advance ticket bookings for Atlee’s nationwide action-packed thriller began on Friday morning across India. By 3 pm, the film had already surpassed the milestone of 100,000 ticket sales, as reported by DNA.

Jawan sells over 1 lakh tickets

Advance ticket bookings for “Jawan” commenced at 10 am on Friday. By 3 pm, the film had already secured 118,000 ticket sales, totaling ₹4 crore in revenue, according to the report. Furthermore, the report mentions that the advance booking for the Tamil version of the film, featuring notable figures like Atlee, Nayanthara, and Vijay Sethupathi, also achieved ticket sales amounting to ₹15-20 lakh in the same time frame.

Regarding “Jawan,” the cast includes prominent actors such as Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover, Priyamani, Ridhi Dogra, and Yogi Babu, each playing pivotal roles. Additionally, the film features a special appearance by Deepika Padukone, who was also seen in Shah Rukh’s “Pathaan.” Produced by Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment, “Jawan” is scheduled for a theatrical release in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu on September 7, coinciding with the celebration of Janmashtami.
