According to Hindu scriptures, Lord Ganesha’s birth is believed to have occurred in the Gregorian months of August or September, corresponding to the Shukla Paksha of the Bhadrapada month in the Hindu calendar. In the year 2023, Ganesh Chaturthi will be observed on Tuesday, September 19, and the culmination of the festival, Ganesh Visarjan, is set to take place on Thursday, September 28.

The auspicious time for welcoming Lord Ganesha home on Chaturthi Tithi will commence at 12:39 PM on September 18, 2023, and conclude at 01:43 PM on September 19, 2023, as per the Drik Panchang. The ten-day Ganesha Utsav festival will conclude on September 28 with the immersion ceremony, Ganesha Visarjan.
