Gadar 2 Movie Review
According to a review by Lil News, while the original Gadar depicted the love story between Tara Singh (Sunny Deol) and Sakina (Ameesha Patel), Gadar 2 delves into the enduring animosity between India and Pakistan, which continues to persist. The story is portrayed through the lens of a father’s unwavering connection with his son.
As the specter of war hangs over the horizon, Lieutenant Colonel Devendra Rawat from Punjab (played by Gaurav Chopra) appeals to Tara for assistance in deploying trucks and urgently transporting ammunition to the border, to aid Indian soldiers. In the course of battling adversaries, Tara mysteriously goes missing along with six fellow Indian soldiers. Subsequently, it is unveiled that they have been taken captive by Pakistani Major General Hamid Iqbal (portrayed by Manish Wadhwa), who seeks retribution for the demise of 40 members of his battalion, a result of Tara’s actions during the climactic sequence of the original Gadar.
